Service Description

Basie Equine Health and Emergency First Aid Training Course This is a one-day hands-on course with horses covering: what your vet needs to know when you call, conditioning a horse to accept treatment, taking proper vital signs, dealing with lacerations, punctures, colic, choke, collapse, casting, shock, hoof issues, recognizing pain in the horse, sources of pain and alleviation, spinal health, injury prevention and so much more! All attendees receive a certificate of completion and first aid manual. This course also earns you professional development credits with state associations of Veterinary Technicians, PATH, EAGALA, IAABC and more in addition to equine-related insurance discounts! (The basic first aid course is recommended prior to taking the advanced course.)


Cancellation Policy

Starting January 1, 2024 All Lessons/Sessions MUST be PAID in Full 24 Hours Prior to Lesson Refund/Cancellation Policy: Cancellations 7 Day Notice Required for a Full Refund 3 Day Notice Required for a 50% Refund If Less than 3 Days No Refunds Rescheduling Min. 24 hr. notice required if you need to reschedule. If you need to reschedule due to illness a 24 hr notice is appreciated, however we understand life happens, please notify us as soon as possible. If you simply do not show up for your scheduled program you are NOT eligible for a refund and you will be charged a $20 reschedule fee if you choose to reschedule.
